mass air screens

should i remove the mass air sensor screens? theres one in front of it and one after it...i had someone tell me to remove them to pick up some ponies...wht do u guys think?

no, it smoothes out the airflow
what car do you have...i've never seen 2 in there

im not sure if it was 2...i was just told it had 2. i was cleaning my air filter and remembered someone said that. so i should leave it?

I don't know what the intended purpose of them REALLY is, since no others ever seem to have them in there, but it won't hurt to remove them if you're curious.

There is only 1.

And it actually helps smooth out turbulence in the airflow coming in from the filter.

If it does help smooth out the airflow why isn't there one on the aftermarket MAM's? They perform better and flow more don't they?

Big difference in aftermarket and factory. Aftermarkets flow more because they are larger plain and simple.

The stock MAF meter actually has a rediculously smaller inner diameter than it has outer, that's why the aftermarket ones flow so much more. The aftermarket ones can probably benifit from the addition of a screen.

Leave her in there
