hey gang, I changed mass air flows on my 86 converted mass air . know the car has a jurk off idle and is really jurky when letting out on the clutch .. any ideas?

Do you have an aftermarket MAF and does it match the injector size?

How did you do the MAF conversion?

What are your engine mods?

its a ford motorsport conversion with a 24 lbs injectors and a C&L mass air for 24lb injectors. I had a pro-m on it . sold it cause I sold the Paxton off the car. mods are stock block. 030 over dart II heads , crane 544/544 292/292 cam. GT/40 upper and lower 70mm ,long tube headers. 410 gears

Did this problem just start recently when you converted to Mass Air?
You may have a parts mismatch somewhere...

Did the Mass Air conversion kit come with the 24 lb. injectors as a package?

Check the computer tag located on the end of the computer opposite the wiring connector. Typical numbers to look for are: A9L, A9P, X3Z, A3M and C3W.

No. this combo has been together for 15 or so years . (the car being MAF) . I had a pro-m 77 . with a Paxton supercharger I sold the Paxton, the buyer wanted my MAF cause it was complete. He gave me this MAF on the side it says AUTO SPECIALITES ? never heard of them and don't know if its a 24lbs MAF. how can tell?
