Master Cylinder Adapter Leak

I know that you're not supposed to use Teflon tape, or similar, to seal the brake line flare fittings on a master cylinder. It's a metal to metal flare seal. However, the adapters between the master cylinder and the flare fitting, is it ok to use Teflon tape on those?

I used blue RTV.

Just rolled the threads thru it, worked fine. I did that because brake fluid is corrosive to the tape, at least thats what I heard, I do know its hard on paint.....
