Master Cylinder need some help ASAP!!!!

i was trying to put the master cylinder on my 91 mustang. i got the one for the 93 Cobra but when i was trying to installed it, I noticed that the master cylinder on the 91 mustang has an extra line under the master cylinder and the one form the 93 doesn't. is there a reason why, i want to know what that extra brake line is for since the master cylinder from the cobra only has two bake line holes along the side of the MC and no holes in the bottom for that extra brake line. thanks

thanks, i would try to see if i can get the third brake line into the adapter that is located on the PV.

I am pretty sure you need a 3-2 port conversion. My 86 already has a 2 port and the 3 port that is in the 87-93's is the part you have to bypass.

It is because the 93 Cobra had rear disc brakes is the reason for the difference. I would stick with a normal GT M/C for the time being and save that Cobra M/C for when you do the SN95 brake Conversion.

There should be no need for you to go to a Cobra MC unless you put disc brakes in the rear. Ditch the drums, then replace the MC.

It`s best to upgrade the MC with 73mm calipers even with rear drums to avoid a soft long travel brake pedal.The stock MC just doesn`t have the capacity to work well with the larger 73mm calipers.

Maximum Motorsports also sells 3>2 port master cylinder conversion kits,it`s $10 more than the one on the site that was mentioned,but is headache free.
Some have had trouble with one of the fittings not lining up where it`s supposed to when tightened down,due to production tolerances on the fitting itself with the mjbobbitt kit.

thanks, i am going to put disc brakes in the rear but i am going to stay with the drums for a couple of months. that should give me enough time to buy the cobra brake booster too. by the way i already ordered the 3-2 port conversion kit for the master cylinder it was $25 dollars, and when i put the disc brakes in the back i just installed everything else at the same time.

Chances are that 3-2 kit will not line up proper, the MM kit is completely headache free and you can angle the outlet to meet your needs.
