I have a 66 Coupe with the straight 6 and manual drum brakes all around. Would like to upgrade the single master cylinder to a dual for safety reasons. Adding a vacuum booster to the car would be nice too.

I plan on installing a built 302 eventually... will the V8 fit with a power dual master cylinder?

The SSBC front disc brake kit I got for the 65 came with a 67 Mustang dual master cylinder so maybe it'll work for you. As for the vacuum booster, it won't clear with the mentioned MC because the shock towers will get in the way.

Yes, you can get a power booster in a 65 with a dual master cylinder. A few companines now make that a conversion... I bought a Trans Am Racing system and it is top notch, although I haven't road tested it yet. I'm also aware of two kits offered through National Parts Depot, with a model that will cover all the possible applications. e.g. disc/drum, disc/disc, manual or automatic transmission etc... I believe one kit requires you to fab lines, and the other is supposed to be ready to drop in. I believe the one that requires fabbing of lines has a smaller booster, but I'm sure they can help you more from here.
