I am looking at buying new wheels and tires and know that I am going to buy 18's. I have a Maximum Motorsports Panhard bar on the car and am wondering if anyone knows if an 18X10.5 will work on the rear without spacers.

I have an 18x10 rear wheel with no clearance problems. As long as the backspacing is correct, I doubt that .5" will make a difference.

Ditch the quads while you're under there too, if you haven't already.

I left my quads on, even though I supposedly dont need them since I have Maximum Motorsports lca's. When I put on my 18-10's I didn't have any clearance problems with them, unlike my 97, so I figured it wouldnt hurt to have them on. Is there a reason I should remove them?

As far as my panhard bar goes, I dont have any clearance problems with my wheels. The only clearance problem I have now is from my Magnaflow catback. It didnt fit at all since I had the panhard bar, so the exhaust shop had to alter the tailpipes, so now the right tailpipe is kinda close to the inside of my tire. I wanted to do 315's next, but im not sure if they will fit now?

Weight savings, plus they're rubbish now.

All 3 of us pretty much have the same setup, only difference being the springs.

Hey guys...
dont mean to hijack the thread, but what lcas do u guys have? i know i want the mm ones w/o the spring perches but they have the different strength's as well as the really thin "road course" one. my car is mostly road coarse and autox, but it might see some drag racing mostly from a roll however... thanks in advance for ur help!

I have the regular adjustable ones...I dont think there extreme duty? They have a spherical bearing at the chassis end & a poly bushing for the differential end.

I have the regular ones...spherical and poly.

The intent of the adjustable ones wasn't to be able to lower or raise the car to one's liking, but to rather accomodate slicks and then go back to normal.

I haven't been to any meets yet, but I woul be interested if I knew when & where. Unfortunately none of my freinds are into stangs because there all into either imports or chevys, which I like too, but it makes it hard to keep with whats going on in the stang world.

So should I ditch the quads then....I ditched them on my 97 Cobra, only because I had too. I left them on the Mach because the wheels fit with them on & I figured they would help a little even with the MM LCA's.

yea i feel same way... all my friends have imports... but one of my friends just bought a 5.0. if u plan on going to any events or meets we all gotta get as many peoples to show up! even maybe hit up some of the auto x events in the area and stuff!!

I think there is someplace out here in sac where a bunch of stangers are gonna meet up tommorrow, it said something about it on the site that tomustang reffered me 2, but I didnt get any specifics from it other than its supposed to be at a shell gas station but Im not sure where in sacramento. I know a bunch of people go out to sacramento raceway on wednesdays & saturdays, but I havent went yet.
