Maybe a dumb question

I recently bought an 89 GT Convertible, when I bought it the top motor was bad and I just replaced it this weekend, the car didn't come with the owners manual and I need to know if I have to unzip the rear window before I put the top down or if it will be ok to put it down with the top still zipped in. Any help here would be greatly appriciated.

Sorry, I never dealt with verts. But a question is never dumb if you don't know the answer. Next time post this in the tech section and you will get a faster response.

it will be ok. just make sure nothing is under the glass when it goes down.

yep, nothing like hearing that characteristic crunch when you put the top down.
