Yeah...guess where I got that from...MM&FF, one of the few useful 4 cylinder articles they had. Since the Ranger needs more torque, I guess the Exhaust is open more so that the turbo spools better and such, blah blah blah , yada yada.

But yeah, it was installed on a Merkur that made 397HP(with the A327 came), it made 378 or something like that with the Ranger cam.

But wouldn't a shorter duration on the exhaust provide more torque through backpressure? I guess if the lift was short enough, it'd work, but why not just spend $180 on a custom grind? I understand the want to save money, but a custom grind would probably be good for at least 20-30 hp over the ranger cam. Maybe the truck cam is just naturally perfect? I dunno. I'm just rambling here. Ignore me. :rolleyes:

Well as described by some...it is naturally perfect...

But I also here there is a nice solution for a custom grind cam...
