There's loaner helmets for you to borrow. Bring all the normal paperwork (not that they ever check), a chair, and some sun block. Some white shoepolish or blue masking tape would help too (for numbering your car). But in all actuallity, all you need is you, your car, and $25.

i miss it up there. Way too many riced out imports down here. But there are a ton of beautiful cars ... driving down the street and pull up next to a diablo at a stop light ... driving next to a GT Stang and hearing a turbo sound or... i'm jaded for life ...

eric- what's this trophy everyones talking about(prolly a car show one ) we know its not a autoX one(I'll be in FS on sunday in dans gts) so none on sunday for you(i hope, me like trophys) just playing with ya buddy, maybe we can get dan out of FS next year for ya.

the trophy erich got was for the dyno day we did with the orlando chapter. he got 3rd place in the n/a class

Guaranteed I won't be in FS too long into next year, if at all. I just picked up the Griggs K-member today so I'll be in CP at least. Maybe a mod class.

It was a Mustang Dyno, and it looks like I'm running a little rich, so I got 195 HP and 225 TQ. And there were at least two other N/A cars there that didn't place.

eric-3rd out of 5, not bad. looks like the dyno runs low cause my 97 runs about 180HP, yours on a different dyno should be at 210-220 or so.



:OT: looks like my wife is getting a company car, so the mustang is being retired to weekend duty soon(now how does those back seats come out again.) see you guys on sunday.

Congrats on getting the car to weekend duty, you should be able to have some more flexability with it now. Don't know about the weather, though. You know Florida...

BTW, has anybody heard from mfpmax? It seems he's been MIA for quite some time. Anyone know where he is?

I was going to rebuild my engine in October. Then I got that damn phone call!! I had it all figured out before then I really did. I had a plan....I was going to rebuild and port my engine then re-dyno it and hope to get to the elusive 300 RWHP.

But no...

It cannot be that simple my life never is.

A friend called from Miami.
I have a chance to buy a twin turbo motor out of a 93 RX-7. I have already talked to JR the mechanic that has worked on my car and he is positive we can put it into my car. This engine is out of a totally stock car that was wrecked it only has 23k miles on it.

I am looking at 350-375 RWHP or more very easily. So I have toiled over whether or not to do this for a couple of days now. I had to make a dicision this morning and decided to go for it and put a deposite on the engine.

So here goes the chaios. I will be ripping the engine out of my car and putting this engine in. I want to start on October 1st and hope to have it done in time for the open track day at Moroso with Chin Motorsports on Nov 3rd. The Cobra R Mustangs will not know what happened.

I will be using my old engine in a project car we are building for topeka next year. It will be a B-prepared turbo Rx-7. We are going to strip the car to the bare minimum. I case you didn't look a Turbo rx-7 won at topeka this year in B-prepared.

No prob. We might be changing to Hooters, though. I don't think Dan likes Sonics too much, so we might just cancel those and go with Hooters from now on.

Jim about the track day with a new(very powerful motor), might not be the greatest idea. I dont know your performance driving skills but with a new motor you might have unforseen problems with it that either gets you hurt or sidelines you for the day.

Just my 2 cents. I've seen guys bring out beasts for there first time at a track and really get disapointed cause it dosnt run right or they have problems keeping it sorted out.

Congrats on the new engine though.
