Yeah, the Charger concept car looked cool, but the lighting was pretty crappy so it was had to get good pix of anything.

well guys, got some street tires on finally. i decided to go with the 285's, and make them fit.

surprisingly, it wasn't too hard. My quad shocks were already flipped, so the only clearance issues i had was the exhaust pipe on the right side (seems the muffler shop had the right tailpipe alittle farther outward that it was supposed to be). So, I did alittle bending, and everything fits fine...no probs.

only problem i have with rubbing is on hard corners, other than that...and there fine! next up: DIY paint job

Naaaahhhhhh Eric. My Cobra weighs about 3580# with me in it. Now that's what I call a PIG! On the other hand, my 88LX tips the scales at exactly 3000# with me in it.

Oh, hey, does any of the older members remember the "1ofkind" Probe? The one that has all the Star Trek things on it? Like a big wing and jet engines, etc? Well, I saw it in the parkinglot at the car show. I damn near died laughing when I saw it. I was like "Holy crap, I've seen that posted on SN!"

Auto-X in Palm Bay

Anyone going to the Martin Sports Car Club auto-x tomorrow? I thought I would make another stab at it. I think I still have 2 more opportunities to drive in Novice before I have to move to ESP or whatever class my Cobra fits into.

wasnt the last event your first? if so, then you have 3 more chances in novice, unless you win an event.

Is that so, OK, cool, I didn't win last month so by SCCA rules I can enter novice 3 more times eh? Well I was reading the Martin club rules and apparently they allow only 3. Not that it makes a lot of difference to me. I'm just doing it for fun anyway.

So, you going out there Dan?

It was decidedly different. They check brakes in tech. You only get three timed runs. It wasn't quite as well organized as the SCCA event. The course was just under 60 seconds long. It was a real biotch to negotiate the chicane, sort of uneven and very abrupt turns in it.

After the timed runs ended they had fun runs for a $1 a run. I knocked 2 seconds off my time during the fun runs. Took a bit of time to figure out how to make better time through that chicane.

I finished 2nd in Novice. I had my choice of a mug, a trophy or a coupon good for $7 off the next Martin event, I took the coupon.

I'll take 3 60 sec runs before 4 35 sec runs anyday. with fun runs, thats a LOT better.

They ran at palm bay and got a 60 sec run out of that parking lot? please explain.
