No Melbourne website until we get the new club situated.

As far as the AX, it's a good ol' fashioned conehunt. They take an empty lot, put out a bunch of orange cones to form a small, tight road course, and then send cars through it one at a time who are trying to vye for the best time they can get. Pretty fun way to spend a Sunday.

made the headlights more round , like they used to look, turned the grilles right side up, made the hood look more shark-nosed like they used to look in 69.
the real concept dosent even look like a mustang.

It would look fine if they did a little more tweaking with little details, IMO, mine looks better.
If they are going to do the whole retro thing, they could atleast make the little retro things look like they did.
What's up with slanted square headlights and upside down grilles?? Looks like the front end of an F-150.

I have yet to see a concept pic that I would buy. That latest one looks like a two seater to me, and those headlights are fugly.

Oh and I'll be at the next AutoX in time to run this time. What time is the practice on Saturday?

Actually, I just happened to look at my scale model of the 1968 Shelby Cobra GT-500 KR, and your grilles are wrong. The grilles on it and the grilles on the concept are identical, yours are backwards.

Also note that the headlights on the concept are indeed round, just the plastic or whatever around them isn't.

They aren't "wrong". The grilles on 94+ are like that too.
Looks better with the present style grille. And if the plastic surrounding the circular headlight is chrome, which it appears to be, it still looks like a slanted square. If they wanted them to appear round, the plastic should be body colored or something else.

Remind me not to post another picture..

Dan, are you going to make this next auto-x? If so, you going on Sat and Sun? I'm gonna do both days again, I need to see if the car drives different since I went to a softer rear spring rate before I compete on Sunday. I'll probably re-adjust my alignment for better handling on Friday too.

Not sure which Dan you're asking, but I haven't decided yet. I'll probably be out there Sun but Sat is still up in the air.

i like yours alot better. the actual one resembles an f-150 mixed with a depressed clown.

yours sorta looks like a wrx in the front, which isnt bad...just different. but anythings better than the whole "retro styling" trip ford has been on lately. i still havent warmed up to the new t-bird, and thats been around for like 2 years. i think they just need to stick with the body style they have now, do some adjustments here and there, and ditch the retro ques.

i think the stalker body kit on the new stangs looks insanely badass (read VERY closely ford design exec's).

Well now, if Eric shows up there will be a good Mustang contingent then.

I think I am going to join the SCCA at this event, but I don't know if I want to run in Novice again since I can do it 3 times as long as I don't get a first or go ahead and try ESP and start gathering points. decisions... decisions...

I'll be at the autocross, probably with my cousins in Mustangs.

Glenn, are you going to Bithlo when it opens that Friday? I'm going to try out the 3.73s.

I just saw pics of the 04 coupe concept, and I like it a hell of a lot more than the vert. To be honest, I really actually like it.
It may be a turn in the wrong direction for the type of styling some people want, but for a retro looking Mustang, I'm diggin' it. I like the late 60's fastbacks. Not too sure about the wheels though.

Not sure if I can make it then or not. I made a lot of changes to the car over Xmas break and I still need to do some adjustments to the rear suspension that will take some fabrication.
