Melbourne area stangs

<----Wishes he had the money to buy a pair of oxygen sensors, MSD wires, and sleeves so I could finally get this thing running some semblance of normal. I'm bored...maybe I'll check my compression. Gramps brought his 50 year old gauge over... Damn thing still works. Gotta love Gramps' old tools. :D

On a seperate note, there's a white GTS for sale down on the A1A past Eau Gallie.

Welcome back baggie! Looking forward to seeing you around again.

Are you now going to have the time to install your MM parts? The Martin club is having an AX next Saturday if your looking for an event.

No, another one. The wife actually noticed it and hinted that it'd be kinda cool to have another one so she could have one for herself. Personally, I'm thinking the RX-8's are looking pretty nice myself.

Sounds good to me. I'll have to see what the wife has planned, but I'm pretty sure I can get out for a few hours. The parts will have to wait though. I decided to go ahead and order the rear c/o's, 98 spindles, and prolly the PHB as well. I'll end up waiting for those parts so I can do the install all at the same time.

Hey bag I'm still interested in getting another set of 94-95 spindles for my hatchback. So when ever you do the 98 swap give me a notice and I will buy them from you if you already don't have them sold.

I'll consider you as having first dibs. I'll PM you whenever they become available.

I dunno, it would be cool to have a second GTS. If you got it maybe you could finally put in that roll cage you've been wanting forever, along with whatever other goodies your wife doesn't want on your car.

I actually found a message board dedicated to Crown Vic, Grand Marq, and Town Cars. :D From what I've read so far, a dual setup and 3.55 gears are very helpful for these barges. AAAAANNND, you can use an H-pipe from a Fox if you use Fox headers, but the rest has to be fabricated. So I won't be making any mods to it anytime soon :(
Um and yeah some of these guys actually 1/4 mile these things, with pretty good times for a 4200lb car.
They are doing or have done a tech article on complete 5.0 S.O. to 5.0 H.O conversion for the 86-91 Panther chassis cars. :D

If anybody needs some PI cams or Ford C springs, Post because im selling both. $80 for the springs, and make me an offer for the cams. I might also be selling my SHM blower cams with a .495 lift, 230 duration, because I wanna go bigger. I will let you guys know soon about the SHM cams.

I'm afraid you won't see me there after all Glenn. I just found out I'll be out of town again. Leaving in a few hours, be back next week some time.

If you guys want to go ahead and draft up the "We-Don't-Want-You-In-Our-Club-Any-More-Because-You-Miss-Too-Many-Meetings" paperwork, I'll be sure to sign it just as soon as I can actually attend another meeting. ;)

Dan, where you gotta go now? Or is it classified?

Well, somehow, we managed to rip the wing off a Mach1 at the car wash today. It was just going through the wash and then two bang sounds, and the wing was on the tunnel floor. Great quality control, Ford.

Happy b-day Dave!

This isn't all that uncommon. I have been to carwashes that WILL NOT run my Cobra through because of the wing. Seems the brushes (strings) can wrap around the wing and rip it off. A touchless carwash avoids this situation. I would venture to say that the wing would still be attached had it not been for the carwash brush. :(

Ditto on the happy birthday, Dave! Still gonna buy me that rum? :D

Anyone have a guess on how much a manual fan and fan clutch is gonna cost? My electric one bit the dust today and overheated my car. Without a heater core, I got lucky as hell. Refilled the rad after it gushed what was left out and drove it home speeding a little to keep the airflow up. I got luuuucky. I found a not blown, but MELTED and utterly destroyed fusible link tied directly to my battery... Question is, whether the link died from a voltage spike from the alternator or battery (?), or whether the fan motor died and doubled the current back to the fuse... :damnit:
