Melbourne area stangs

Speaking of the meet...I'll be able to go as long as my friend can still go. My car's briefly out of commission. I'm sure y'all won't mind looking at his...it's a 65 Stang with a 302 and an RV cam...muchos grande low end torque. Sounds like ass though...that's what you get when you go with very cheap dual exhaust. :nonono:

Hey Dan, how's the stang doing? Get the tranny fixed and the stuff from the accident straightened out? Been awhile since I've talked to yah...just catching up!;)
havent really had a chance to have the tranny looked at yet, but we put some friction modifier in it, and its doing much much better. as for the accident, i got the car back yesterday from the body shop. they did a good job:nice: here is a pic from last night:nice:

I am as long as my car's not leaking coolant excessively. It was doing it a few days ago near the timing cover / thermostat area, but I can't find the damn leak anymore! Strange.
Sounds good Tim. I want to get more seat time to adjust to my new suspension before the SCCA event. I plan on doing the May 25th Palm Bay and the June 7-8th Sebring events.

I will probably drag the car behind the truck Saturday and bring a cooler and my popup canopy. The damned sun is starting to get pretty hot lately and having shade is nice.

lookin' good!

So are you happy with your tune Josh? How much was the total cost? How long did it take to get it done?
Well its running better now.Alot of its little quirks are gone.Went up to 317rwhp.The old chip with that stuff I put on hurt the car.Best it did was 296rwhp with the old chip.

I've got a question...what does the fan (the radiator fan, not the blower) have to do with the a/c system?? My a/c acted up like crazy when I had that POS electric fan on...with this new manual fan, the a/c started cycling like a normal system would when it's low. So I filled it up with a can of 134a with oil..and voila..I have A/C now! I'm jumping for joy here. Although I'm trying to figure out why now when I start it cold, the idle drops to like 550 and gets lopey like it has a cam for maybe 2 seconds before the choke kicks in and brings the idle up to 1100. Don't know why that lag exists...never did with the electric. I find a new quirk every day I swear.

Ummm, your A/C condenser is mounted in front of the radiator. It depends on a large volume of air flowing across it to create the heat exchange that causes the vaporized refrigerant to change state from vapor to liquid. Now, that being the case, if your fan wasn't providing sufficient airlfow your refrigerant would not give up it's heat and the end result would be poor to no cooling.

You didn't by any chance omit having the fan wired into the A/C system did you? An electric fan has to come on whenever the A/C is running.
