Add a set of underdrive pulleys and you'll be out in front.

When I hook up w/ you guys and have my Mustang w/ me we can run. I have the chip/intake/cat-back mods. You see for yourself if its faster.
thats not gonna start any fights(i dont think!) if you can get good gains from fewer mods then thats awesome! more power to the person! i guess its all about what you know will get good hp results!

Well, it's an uphill battle, but it can be done. If you want to get anywhere near 15's or lower though, the "cheap" way would be with a bit of boost.

yeah thats what i was afraid of! oh well maybe its time to move on to a different car! ive been talking to Jim about rx-7, maybe that will be my next car! if i can im gonna keep the mustang and get the other one if the insurance isnt too bad to have both!:D

I was going to suggest pullies and a TA just to start with, but Erich had enough of a time convincing his father to ok the tri-ax I figured anything done to the motor would definately not happen.

and i guess on that note im off to bed! have to be up early to have my car at the mechanic to replace my tensioner pulley and belt! good night all!

The thing is, the robotics things are fun :) Especially the parties...oh man...the teams that bring their school's cheerleading squad to cheer at the competitions dance the at the team party the second night of competition.

I hope I can make it...I got home at 1 am and I'm still not asleep...instead i'm here checking Stangnet...

ill be up at bithlo friday too! if you guys want to meet and drive together thats cool with me...but you guys will probably be coming from the total opposite way as me so i dont know how good that will work. i usually come down 436 (semoran blvd.) and hang a left onto 50 (colonial dr.). the test and tunes are from 6-10 every wednesday and friday...i just hope it isnt busy. last time i was up there, 9 out of the 10 cars there were imports...and the lanes were backed up past the race fuel tanks :( i got in a whole 2 runs in 3 hours. some ******* blew his tranny about 40 feet out and decided to be dumb and drive the whole way down the track...thus leaking fluid all the way to the finish line. needless to say, it took a good hour and a half to clean up...and everybody there was looking for the guy (i guess he halled ass pretty fast).

hopefully ill get my slicks before then, so maybe i can get somekind of traction. how much did you pay for your drag radials (555R's im guessing?)? i might just go upto the tire store tomorrow and buy me a pair instead of waiting for my rims/slicks. :rolleyes:

also, i mentioned this before...but me and some other guys are meeting at the winter park village tomorrow to hang out and go visit some ricer shows. if anyone wants to come...p.m. me and ill give you directions. were meeting around 8 ;)
 
i dont think a stock 4-banger could handle a 100 shot...50 would be alot safer...with a little work here and there a 75 would (i think) be pretty good. and now that i ripped my mouse out of the back of my computer, i have to restart. see you guys ina minute.

Not being a nitrous expert, that's why I immediately asked how many miles he had. I've seen stock 2.3's take 125 shots though. I have no idea how long they lasted. Probably not long

On MM&FF Magazines Project White Trash where they take a 4-banger and convert it to a V8 they first trashed the motor(or attempted to) and they first started off with a 75 shot and ended at a 125 shot...the couldn't completely kill the motor. At the end they got some slightly melted plugs and slight hint of coolant in the oil.

Man, I raced a 2000 GT with exhaust, chip, and new gears (don't know what) and he completely blew me out of the water. It was pretty sad, actually, but cool at the same time. :( :D

Ah, my idea of buying a second car, one for racing, one for daily driving, is starting to spread. Muwhahahahahaha! :D

Those 2 rounded out the top 5 of the first things that I had originally planned on doing to the car. It went K&N, Tri-Ax, Exhaust, Pullies and T/A. But just like Baglock said, my dad barely let me get the Tri-Ax. I couldn't imagine the debate I'd have to go through to get them. :rolleyes: Oh well, better off saving money for my race car come december (hopefully). :D

well actually after you left erich i was talking to my friend that was there and he heard you car leave and noticed you still had stock exhaust, and asked me if you were gonna do anything to it and i said you dad was giving you a hard time about voiding the warranty! but he told me that anything after the cats wont void the warranty! so that means that if you wanted to put flows on there you could and the warrant would still be good! so just tell that to your dad! and if he wants to call flowmaster and double check! so there is your next mod off of that list!

actually about 10-15 minutes after you left, mfpmax, untouchable, and their other friend did show up! so it looks like baglock is the only one but he had a good excuse, he works all night, i dont blame him for wanting to sleep!

No, I want to do exhaust all at one time, and since I want o/r H's, I gotta wait. But it's something to consider, though...

Yeah, I figured that would happen. Of course, it wouldn't have mattered when I left, cause they would have showed up 15 mins later anyway. :rolleyes:
