Melbourne area stangs

well everyone...happy belated turkey day! hope everyone ate enough food to feed 3 elephants...i know i ate enough to feed the whole herd.:barf:

but anyway, for those of you who didnt make it out to the turkey rod run tonight, you missed some damn nice cars. i was suprised there weren't as many mustangs as there was bowtie cars (probably 2 stangs for every 10 chevys) but there was still plenty of eye candy. Me and acouple friends are going to be heading down there tomorrow afternoon, and staying all night if anyone wants to meet up? theres the trade show and booths n stuff in the infield of the daytona speedway, then theres plenty of shows...and cruising around. plenty of stuff to do. so if yah wanna meet up, pm me your cell number or something and ill give you a call.

dan, what time do you work till? i havent heard the stang with the x-pipe yet, i bet it sounds sick! :hail2:  :hail2:

Well, I too just heard Erich's exhaust. Not too shabby my friend. :nice:

I just got back from BCC where we had that driver's school. Jim and Matt were out there as well. Got in 24 runs and I am wore the hell out. As soon as I get some food in me, my ass is hitting the sack.

Wait till you hear it out on the streets. Actually, right as I pulled out onto A1A, I pulled right next to a silver SN95 GT. He was a little behind me and tried to accelerate, so I mashed down the thottle and walked him. Then I had to slow down cause of a van. Passanger yelled "sweet car." I caught up with them at the next light (they were turning) but I got to chat with them real quick. It was cool. :nice: :D

Well, I just pumped a few more dollars into the Cobra in preparation for autocrossing. I went over to Tampa Saturday and picked up a used set of wheels and tires, so now I have a spare set. :nice:

I guess I will go ahead and wear out the 275-40 Bridgestones on the 9" wheels and then replace them with some Kumhos. I will use the spare set of 8" wheels and 245-45 BFG's for everyday driving.

I just hope I don't get so involved in this auto-x stuff I neglect my drag car!

Gonna check the schedules and see when I can make another one, I had fun last week at the auto-x in PB.

Glad to hear that you enjoyed it Glenn. :nice: I was looking at the site last night comparing some PAX times and they didn't have the new schedule up yet. Typically, they skip Dec because of the holidays and start back up in Jan. They're usually on the 3rd sunday of the month. Also, if you're looking for more seat time, Martin's Sports Car Club is out there on the 2nd Sunday's.

Can't wait to get back to AutoXing again. I really miss it. :(

On a side note, Check Engine light has yet to come on (knock on wood), and everything is still running good. I have some mysterious vibration somewhere in the exhaust, but I didn't hear it as much today as I did yesterday.

Speaking of autoX, I just won my class in the JAX region today, the Dixie Region ESP champ was there and beat him by about 2 sec's. Had a great event, all up to the point where i ran over one of the navys landing lights.

we run on a navy training runway and there are landing lights that stick up on the side of the runway, and i plowed off the track(they had a sweeper aimed right at it) and bulldozed it. took off a chuck of paint off the bumper and put a pretty good hurting on the old ego.

still won my class though. 65 SEC runs(4000FT track). also won the crappy run of the day award(i have the trophy to prove it)
