ok this weekend i heard from 2 differnt people that moroso bought the mesa park motorsport complex an is going to build an oval track an 1/4 mile drag strip ill do more checking the mesa complex is in fellsmere about 1 mile of of i/95 !would be nice !

Wouldn't bet the farm on it. Mesa is tied up in a huge legal battle between several partners. If this were to be resolved the next problem is... Mesa is half the size of moroso wpb.. The kiss of death is a giant housing development (6000+homes) is going in almost across the street from Mesa...Al
Hey Al, didn't know you visited this board.
Speaking of dragstrips, does anyone know about the proposed track off Eau Gallie Blvd? Last I heard, about a year ago, was that Rathmann was maybe gonna do something with it after the other main investor bailed on it. Any truth to that rumor? Sure would be nice to have a strip over here and not have to deal with that huge ricer crowd in Orlando and that undermaintained facility.

Depending on whether or not I get this job tomorrow, ( expecting a call back ) I'd like to come to the AutoX Sunday. I know some of you have told me a couple times the prices, but do I need to pay to just watch? I have no cash, so I can't race yet, so I'll just watch.
Perhaps I can hitch a ride in a certain black Mustang...

i have know about the partners thing at mesa its been going on for a while. an btw the car looked real nice friday nite AL! I thought it was a little wierd cause one guy said they bought another 50 acres next to mesa

Howdy! I stop by now and then.. Last i heard.. after a investor bailed the remaining principals were bank shopping. The bankers called carl at bithlow and after the conversation felt the income potential was inflated by the partners .
The bank politely declined involvment in the track..

the magnetic diamonds i got from erich. im getting a custom set made this week. as for the helmet, do what glenn said...use the loaner helmets this time, and then shop for a helmet. and as for the packing tape.....you can use shoe polish or tape as long as your in novice....once you move onto a class, you have to use magnetsOriginally posted by Flash1966

no dave, you dont have to pay to watch...and ride alongs are free too. and yes, you can hitch a ride with me......im leaving my apartment about 730 or so, so you better be on time
Well I have made a lot of changes in the car. Over Xmas break I installed some Wilwood brakes, new struts and coil-overs on the front. Out back I changed the SSM LCA's and upper axle bushings. The old bushings were shot, you could see where the UCA's were hitting the steel liners when under load. I'm sure this is where my problem was in keeping the car straight. I still have to correct a rear geometry problem though. My instant center is way off now since the swap to standard location LCA's.
I still have to install a new fuel system before dropping in the 347 too. I just wanted to get the suspension all done and do some track testing before the new engine install. After that, maybe I will see you at the track!

I asked one of the techs at the last event about the diamond magnets. He told me that for $15.00 you get enough magnets to make whatever number you need to. I think you can buy them at the event, but I'm not 100% sure about that.
I'll be at Sunday's event but not sure if I'm running or not. I'll bring the springs for you two guys. BTW, the fronts still have the upper isolators on them, didn't feel like taking them off when I did the swap.....so eric....you get those too.

thanks kevin why arent you running ? saving up to get the sprint going? ill help just let me know i think that car would do really well ! side note that vortech i went an looked at was a v1 an was in need of a rebuild looks like the guy with the novi 2000 will get some pretty nice jet skis :

No the Sprint isn't a concern, but if you get a parts car let me know(just don't go looking for one), too bad alot of parts from N/A Sprints aren't interchangable with the Turbo models. I think the Sprint would be fun, but like any Import, parts cost too much!!! I paid 350.00 for a rebuilt distributor about 5 yrs ago. and an Alternator is around 175!!!
Actually, I just became gainfully re-employed today. I start Monday for a small CNC machine shop in Cocoa My company closed our Melbourne plant back in August. They did however, give us a generous severance package, so I can't complain. A few people I know, will be collecting severance through March.....of 2004!!! 
Since things are looking up, I may end up running Sunday.
