Melbourne area stangs

The miracles of technology. Just wait until I get me an EMP grenade. Ohhh yes, we've already invented them...they're just not being used yet. Muahahaha....... Ya won't even know what happened. Might hear a small click noise....then, BAM, every electronic device within the "blast radius" short circuits. The car, the computer, the freakin MICROWAVE.... Mayhem. :D

Greetings from South America. Talk about a badass place to chill. The hotel they have me in is ohhh so nice. Pool on the roof (20th floor), free high speed internet, hookers walking around that look like playboy models... If I was a single man, I could get in alot of trouble. :nice:

Hey, just buck up and take it like a man! You gotta take the bad with the good sometimes. ;) Don't get too comfy down there or you might get spoiled.

You missed a good Auto-x this weekend. Some damned *** car kicked our asses in ESP. It was one of those new Mitsu Lancer Evolution 8's. That car is lighter than a Mustang, has more ponies, bigger brakes and active suspension.

Anyway, he got a 1st, I got 2nd and TJ got 3rd and the guy wasn't even really driving it to it's potential from what I could see. I guess I gotta figure out a way to get on the same level as that ricer toy. Oh yeah, he was on street rubber too.

Sounds better than my Sunday. Started with a drive to Miami followed by waaay too many hours in a plane. Wish I could have been there if for nothing else than to see that Evo run. I've been wanting to get a closeup on one of them for awhile.

Well I am on the look out for another new stang. The hatchback has served me well for a year. I had plans for a new paint job, 5 lug conversion, and probably heads, intake, and cam this year but I got burned out on the idea. I just want a newer car, something faster that I could put a blower on and call it a day, and something that the ladies would enjoy riding in. So the choice is a 96-98 Cobra. I would love to go with an 03 Cobra but I just can't swing that $30k+ payments. I went down to blacks automotive today to see if they still had a 98 yellow cobra that I test drove a while ago, but I think it is sold, so the look is still on.

So I take it you won't be needing those 95 spindles? I just got my 99 spindles in last week.:)

Sorry about that man, my choice of going with a new stang finally got serious this week. I'm not exactly sure when I will be getting it, hell I might even change my mind and decide to spend that money on a new sport bike and keep the 91.
What do you guys think of these two cobras, I have always wanted a mystic cobra and it is good price, only thing I don't like is those wheels. It would be mandatory to replace those with maybe some FR500s. The next one is the white Cobra with Saleen supsension, it is a good amount more but beautiful looking and I wouln't have to do anything to it for now.

Guy near my friend's house is selling a stock 97 bright, bright red Cobra. In immaculate condition...the guy spends way too much time on it. He's asking too high though....17k.. If you're still interested though, email or PM me and I'll get some contact info for ya.

I would go with the 98, the 96 had too many warranty issues with the tranny and the cooling system. You might want to do some background investigation on anything you look at. If you give me the VIN I can pull up the service history on Oasis if the car was serviced under warranty or for customer pay work at a Ford dealership.

Sorry about that man...

Don't even worry about it. There's no shortage of demand for the 94-95 spindles. I was just making sure that you didn't want me to hold them for you. :)

For what it's worth, I like the white one but don't expect miracles out of the racecraft suspension. It's just Eiebach springs and racecraft shocks. Their CC plates are nothing spectacular, definately not up to snuff for coilover use (if you ever consider going that route in the future).

I also like the Mystic of course (just because it's a Mystic ;)) and it's got fewer miles. The price is lower of course.

Personally, the 96-98 mod motors don't do anything for me. If I wasn't going to get a 99+, I'd stick with the 94-95. That's just me though. Between the two, I'd probably get the Mystic just for the sake of it being a Mystic (less than 1999 total made). I sure as heck wouldn't let that keep me from modding it though.

I kind of had a feeling the saleen racecraft suspension was nothing special. If it was my own money going towards a suspension setup it would be nothing but griggs. I am leaning toward the mystic right now, I just can't get over those wheels though, the stock wheels even look better than those. If I did buy it I would probably throw on the set of machined 35th anniv wheels I have sitting in my garage till I bought the FR500s.
I agree with you on liking the 99+ more, but I can't find any of those within the lower teens, so most of them are out of the budget right now. With the 94-95 Cobras I love the 5.0 and all, I just feel that with my convertible all done up, I wanted to go with a different engine for a change.
If you don't have a buyer right now for the spindles, and if you wouldn't mind holding them for a week or so that would be cool. If I don't find a car in a couple weeks I will probably grow out of the newer car phase and just end up modding the hatchback like I had previously planned.

You in Rio, Sao Paulo, Brasilia? I went to Brasil back in 1997, visited several cities. Rio was pretty cool. I spent several days up north in the Belem area too, it was pretty third world there. Folks living in mud shacks and paramilitary police with automatic weapons patrolling the towns beacuse of rebels and bandits. Was sort of unsettling. Beautiful country though.

I probably won't even have time to install the 99's until late July if I'm lucky. I'll keep you in mind until you say differently.

Brasilia. It's pretty nice here. Sao Paulo on the other hand is a dump. One of the biggest cities in the world and it reminds me of nothing but a big landfill. It's way too dirty down there. I like Brasilia though. Stuff is cheap here too. Brand new Nikes, Reeboks, whatever are about $10-$30 USD. I'll probably be picking up another set of sunglasses while in town as well as another suit (less than $100 USD fully tailored!). Super Sized McDonalds value meals are about 2-3 bucks. Hell, I'm in the top .1% of the economy down here.
