Melbourne area stangs

Got bored, so I thought I'd post a pic of my favorite Ford car and the only motor I've built. 1976 Ford T-bird.:D Yeah I have odd taste in cars.
Yes they are HUGE 18.8ft long, 6.6ft wide, 4.4ft high, 120.4"wheelbase, 4808lbs, 26.5gal tank.

Holy cow, is that car nick named the Titanic by chance?? ;)
That was the Green Manalishi:nice: For anyone that cares, that car maked the beginning of Fords in my immediate family. My Father made fun of it when I bought it, he used to hate Fords. Then one day he needed to go somewhere, and asked me to "Move that thing, so I can get my car out." I said why don't you just take it and handed him my keys. He came back very impressed by the ride. Shortly thereafter, he bought a '73 Lincoln Town Car, then bought another '73 for my Mom. A few months after that, he bought a '69 Lincoln Mark III! If you count the Mark III parts car we bought, at one point we had 2300 cubic inches of engine and 132 gallons of fuel capacity in the driveway.
For those of you that have never driven a full frame car, you don't know what you're missing.:nice:

GA insurance and FL tags: a union made in hell

Well, I'm going up to school in August for the next 8 months. I'm required to get Georgia car insurance, which means I can't have Florida tags and registration. Unfortunately, I live in Fulton County, so I'll have to get an emissions test done. Anyone have a stock 87-93 h-pipe I can buy?

hmm seems as if some kids in the Outhouse want to try to get as many posts and views in a thread as they can....is there a way we can combine the Mafia and Melbourne thread???? :D

Blah, they only have about 300 posts. We will squash them like bugs. :D But, if the Mafia wants to help us out, I doubt anyone would have a problem.

How'd autocross go?? Any drama?

No, no drama really. It was a pretty good course for the larger cars, there was one decent straight section a carousel turn and a nice 180* sweeper. It was very similar to one we ran a few months ago. I finished a tenth behind TJ and 2 tenths ahead of Ian's Evo. :nice: I remembered some of the stuff they stressed in the Evolution school and it really helped.

I still haven't installed the new brake lines or my bumpsteer kit so that is still on the agenda. Also, Brigitte and I are going to build a new AX car and she is going to try her hand at it. I'm not sure what class we will build it for but I am leaning towards either SM or CP because of the more liberal rules. We now have a high mileage 95GT we picked up as a project car. Know anyone that might be interested in my 88LX drag car and a trailer?

:nice:Glenn! I looked at that course, it was very similar to the one I(and several others) spun out on. It looked like the made that 'jog' a bit bigger to slow the entry speed to that sweeper, yes?

I had to buy new rotors for the GT, I noticed a crack in the rear one(pretty sure it's a crack) the other day(they were LONG overdue for replacement). I just bought 'stock' replacements from Autogroan(I was amazed they had actual replacement parts in stock)

I've been doing some long thinking and MAY actually dump the GT, get the wife a wagon(prolly a Colony Park), and take the Marq to mod. But any move would occur next year, may change my mind by then.

Building another AutoX car for Brigitte? That's cool:nice: She'll have a blast.

Hey Kevin, long time no see, how you been?

Well actually we will both be driving it. I figured I already had that 347 I built for the LX so why not drop it in the auto-x car? I will have to detune it a bit though, 500HP is a bit much for an AX car. :notnice:

I think I may go ahead and do the whole Maximum Motorsports :flag: suspension thing on it and retire the Cobra. If I sell the LX and trailer I should have a nice chunk of change to use for modding the 95GT. :D

hey hey hey

KEVIN i get 1st dibbs on the gt when you sell it i still have the parts for the the markie when you get ready just hit me up did i ever tell you guys that the state goverment sucks this tax thing is gonna be the death of me i tink its a way to keep the little shops from making any money [end rant]
