I was recently at a upullit and came across 5 Mercury Grand Marquis in the 89' to 91' years all with fuel injected 5.0L. Does anyone know if there is any difference in efi swaps between ford and mercury. I notice all the crown vics have already been swiped and wondered why all these are still there.

Same motor as the Crown Vic 5.0......150 HP. But it is a roller 5.0, same block, crank and rods as the Stangs had. Just different pistons, heads and cam. Roller hardware is also the same as the Stangs. If you're going to rebuild it, and use better heads, it's a good starting point.

Thanks DHearne. I was mainly looking for another efi setup. I have one off an 89' stang that Im putting in my Bronco build but need another for my Mustang build. Just couldnt understand why they were all sitting out there as popular as they are. But a friend is looking for a roller motor to build and for $188 complete, I may build one too.

As far as the EFI parts go, the lower intake is the same as the Stang, but the upper is slightly different than the HO piece. They look the same, but they're not. Can't tell you what's different about em, only that's what I've learned from others.
