Metal heater line problems!

My hard heater line is leaking in the front where it threads into the intake. The joint slides up and down and water is leaking out of the joint not the threads. Is there any fix for this? Any one have a hard line they don't need? What about doing away with the line and putting the temp sensor in it's place what adaptors will I need. This is on an 88gt. Thanks...

Can I use the line from another type of 5.0 car? such as a lincoln.

Not sure, but if you can fix the one you have then I'd do that. I had to buy a new one for my 86 about a year ago and it was about 100 bucks and the dealer only had one left and it was a discontinued part I think, but don't quote me on that.

your talking the spot where the water comes from the heater core into the intake and has the temp plug on it? i'm mostly sure you can get get another one and toss it in
