mexican 351W

From what I've heard about small blocks from mexico, they have a higher percentage of nickel in the iron, supposedly to make the engine better able to deal with things like pinging caused by poor quality gasoline and such.

If this is true, then I bet those tough high-nickel-content blocks are a machinist's nightmare.

i think they were all cast in windsor, not Mexico hence the name. I'm not 100% sure but iv'e never heard of them, get a casting number, lets see what it says. Mexican 302 were a stronger block because of the higher nickel content, but a Mexican 351?

The guy who has the motor says it has "mexico" or "mexican" stamped into the block
