ok guys here it is. this shifter is the balls, and i couldnt be happier. short, crisp, distinct shifts. fifth is just as short as 3rd. install was easy, all though we did have a casualty you'll see...anyway, i highly recommend this shifter to anyone. again, i have no experience using the red/blue handles, tri-ax, or pro-5.0. im not saying the MGW is a superior shifter, just that i love mine and i think anyone that gets one will too. here's the pics. LOTS of em!

ok. the first 3 are just to give you an idea of the size of the new orange handle

after you remove the console piece and disconnect the lighter, remove the 2 bolts holding the stock shifter on and the four bolts holding the boot and frame on.

ok, this is where i missed pics of a few steps. while my roommate was trying to get one of the 4 bolts that hold down the stock shifter base, the 13mm socket cracked and he took a pretty big chunk out of his left ring finger. i tried not to laugh, but damn it was funny!

the stock shifter removed, take your time to get all the sealant off and try not to get any into the tranny. when i was done i used some alcohol wipes to clean the base. then apply the new sealant, and you're ready to install.

mgw installed, with shift stops. i know i have a 3650 w/internal stops, but i made sure there's plenty of clearance so the mgw stops wont interfere with anything.

theres more clearance there than you can see
View attachment 509071

plenty of room with the mgw in 3rd gear.

here's an idea of the height

with the handle installed

and its all back together. the only slight problem is that the stock shift knob is still a little loose when you get it right where you want it, o you have to give it another 1/4 turn, then its off to the side a little. no biggie

ok, im sure im going to get flamed for this, but i got to try out another shift handle after test driving the mgw....

its my roommates 2005, just got it in march, let me drive it for the first time. its a bit different from the stang, but i love the sound of the turbo. i'll stick with the red dragon for a while. that thing's too damn big

hope this helps some guys. i know i went a little pic overload, but why not? the more the merrier right? the MGW gets my vote without trying any others. its just perfect for what i want
