Had both.
The MGW requires less reach, but still maintains a short throw.
The body/base on the MGW is meatier as well.
If the MGW wasn't available, and I was in the market, I would buy the Steeda Tri-Ax ... or UPR knock-off.

The picture dosn't do much for MGW but once you see one in your hand you will be like "heck yes it's a nice piece"

I've tried a Pro 5.0 and a Tri-ax and I like the Tri-ax better. I've "heard" the MGW is better than both.

i love my MGW feels solid as hell.
ps they dont make the two handles anymore just one orange handle now that combines the best of both worlds.

I just got mine and tried to get the blue handle and they said they don't have them anymore but it was shorter than the orange one. The orange one comes further back (towards you) like an inch or so.

roland's got it, they used to have the touring one (long handle) and sport(short blue handle) and now combined them.
MGW all the way, all the other shifters look exactly the same, and this one just stands out. much more adjustability, much shorter shift, and it cuts road/gear noise a lot more than the others.
glad i got this over the tri-ax
