MGW

Here is a complete write up by me.

http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=528042

I have run it at the track hard (8 passes or so) and drive it everyday. Very fun shifter, not too short, and very solid.

I have used it for over 1 year, no complaints, just be careful on a cold weather 1 to 2 shift, keep it to the left firmly. I have buzzed a few times, but it is the heavy duty springs which help center the thing out very easily.

George makes a nice shifter.

3 must haves for the Foxbody

I have an MGW in my Mach, and a Pro 5.0 in my 88, and there is no comparison, MGW rules over Pro 5.0.

i cut 1 1/4" off the top, 1" off the bottom of my pro 5.0 shifter. Then I redrilled the holes so that 2nd gear is almost straight up. Ive done this mod for a few of my friends and I havent seen a shifter with a shorter throw yet.

this first pic is the shifter in 1st.

this pic is the shifter in 2nd

This mod only works on the fox style console. The 94 & up consoles wrap to close to the shifter after the mods are done.

That looks too short almost like reaching down into the console. How does it feel
