whats up guys....well ive come to the realization that the front end of my car is pretty messed up, and i can fix it for about 1600 for just the frame pull, then about 400 in parts, and about 250 for paint for the front end for a total of 2250.......my question is, how much money do you think i could make partin out my laser red 95 5spd w/ 94k on the ticker.......the car runs great, the tranny doesnt grind, and besides the bent frame, the car drives surprisingly straight, as i drove it to teh body shop about 5 min away for an estimate (boy was that scary)....i know the amount of money you make depends on the level that you break the car down to.....i could probably get about a grand for the car as a whole right now but im thinkin i could get more than twice that if i part it out, but im not willing to go to the level of ripping the motor apart and taking the rear apart for axles and whatnot......its actually not my decision, its my dads cause he doesnt want a bucket of bolts sitting in teh driveway for a year while i part it out....what do you guys think....is it worth it for me to fix mine for around 2 grand, or to part mine out and get a new car (94-95 gt again)....i would have whatever money i'd make from parting mine out, plus whatever money i wold spend to fix mine anyway.......PLEASE HELP ME OUT GUYS!!!!!! this is VERY important to me because i have no car right now

Sorry, I have no idea about any of that but I'm curious as to how you messed up your car?

Well lets figure out if its worth it first. Whats th KBB for your car? Then start adding up everything you could sell and see if its over the KBB value. Figure $400 for the seats, $600 for the engine, $250 for the t5, $350 for tires, Stuff liek that. I dont know what all oyur car has, or what condition its in but 2500 is almost half of what I paid for my car. Why isnt insurance helping you for this?

LOL I think alot of it is just joking with you, no one wants to see you lose a car.

In my opinion, you just gotta do what feels right to you.

I like the 4-cyl notch idea myself, definetly what I'd do if mine got whacked. Prolly pick one up dirt cheap, then swap away.

see, thats wut i thought would be a great idea....get a nice notch roller possilby 4cyl, and swap my whole drivetrain into it......i'd even swap over the axles and spindles so o'd have 5 lug, 4 wheels disc.......but my dad doesnt like any of these ideas....maybe when he sees how much my insurance is gonna go up, he will realize it mite be a smart idea.........btw i dont have black carpet urban....its tan

because it the police report was drawn out wrong, therefore blaming it totally on me.....and i dont have collision insurance, just liability (it wasnt worth it b/c i got the car for 4500 and insurance was 3700 with collision every year)......we filled out the accident report for the insurance company last nite, so maybe they will see the light of day, and how it wasnt possible for me to hit him.............look at my dadages, then look at his 8inch crease in the front bumper THATS IT!!!

sry i messed up the quote kevin lol

well, insurance would be my main concern. I'd go with the cheapest route. Theres a few deals around here where i could get a 4cyl. Fox, which is what i'd do. Parting out would definatly bring in the dough. It just takes time. if you dont fix it, part it out, or get a doner car and swap.

I really dont know what to tell you, your in a bad situation. get the frame pulled, throw on the hood/fenders/bumper you got, dont worry about paint, just get it drivable, then worry about the rest...

yea dude thats wut im thinkin....my friend i talked to last nite in our club who lives in NY has a best friend who works at a body/frame shop, and he looked at teh damages and said it wasnt even close to being an 1800 dollar job...he said way less, so we will see how it goes.....i love this car a lot and i wanna fix it, but if my insurance is gonna be rediculous i dont know wut ima do.....i guess ill try to get a decent v6 roller cause i locew the 94-95's....best cars ever made
