Well i've been hunting and looking and after going to AFP/BO the other day i come to the conclusion that i have a T-5 out of the donorcar that will work in the stang. The only thing that is really diffrent so far is the input shaft bearing retainer. I think that since my car came stock as an auto that whoever converted it over used a foxstyle trans and not the S/N 95? There is also a very very slight difference in the tail shaft seal as well but i have the alum. drive shaft from the donor car as well so it should work. Now back to the input shaft bearing retainer, i was thinking about taking the one off the donor tranny and putting mine on in place and hoping it should still work? So that's my plans for this weekend well maybe? I can try this and see if it will work and then finish the N2O install. When i removed the old tranny out of my car i took the tranny loose from the bell housing, i then looked inside and the clutch fork look's to have slid up alittle? What i mean is when i looked into the bell housing the clutch fork and the clutch is off centered? can i just push it back inline or what? I didnt disconect the clutch cable cause it made it sound you only do this if your removing the whole tranny bell housing and all? And another reason i beleive i have got a fox style tranny in is because on the top cover plate it's stamped "93" and the one out of the donor car is stamped "83". If anyone has a good fox style T-5 they would like to sell CHEAP then i will be intrested in buying it. I mean cheap as in like $200-300, as for i found one for $450 but i can get one with the super alloy gears shipped for $675.00 brand new i have the cash now for it so let me know, the reason i'm asking for one is because i dont want to blow the one up out of the donor car as for it's being barrowed to me, i'm not going to be raceing it till i get the G-Force i just want to get it going before the 22nd of the month so we can drive it to the drags in seattle and just to drive it, in the last 2 month's i've only got to drive it for like 10 miles :bang: kinda sucks on a nice day to drive the hooptie and not the stang and then going out on the road and seing all the nice stang's and other rides :( . So anyway's let me know if you have something and we can get together this week. peace

When you change the bearing retainer make sure you check endplay in the shafts. It should have .000" endplay plus or minus .001". Too loose will cause the gear deflection. Too tight will burn up your bearings.
