Might have found myself a cobra

i almost forgot!!! many builders are pulled on the frame machine to make them appear better.

many places that sell builders want them to look like an EZ ix, so they just hook it up and pull till it looks like a light hit. this usually makes more damage than the accident caused, but it looks better to the untrained eye. you better ask around about that place. i know for 100% sure that at least one place near me does that.

well there was a member that said his friend got a cougar from them. He didnt say anything bad about them. Where is this place that does this? Just so i dont even bother with them. Its starting to look like i wont be getting it. I didnt think the body work would be that high.

hmm... if a cant get a loan from a bank on a salvage title that also messes everything up. Well bigcat ya know of any good deals on mustangs around ya? If not and ya hear something shoot me a pm i would appreciate it!! Thanks for the advice on the car... but i still may go check it out. I could atleast test drive it in the lot(if possible they say it drives lol) and then i could say i drove an 03 mach 1:shrug: :nonono:

hey bigcat (well anyone that knows what i am talking about) i was wondering if ya have ever done any bussiness with or heard about the woodhouse auto dealerships down there. They have some nice cars but the prices on there site are fairly high compared to book and even other dealerships.

woodhouse practically gives away their cars. about a year ago, they posted a 3 million dollar loss for the quarter. you can get a good deal there, but they run you in and out. you are more of a # than a friend. you seem to get a better deal on new rather than used though. most dealers start high anyway. you can always try to talk them down.

Really... thats a good thing to hear i guess. I just seen some prices on there site for used cars and they were a fair bit higher than anywhere else it seemed. They have an 03 gt and they want 23k for it and the book is 16,800 (this is just an example it is a little more than i want to spend) They have a dsg 02 gt that is a decent deal i think but it is an auto and i definately want a manual. I did some more looking and i found another car with damage (i aint even looking for one with damage it just seems that i always find them somehow).

Its an 01 cobra. all it says is bumper and headlight but i dont see the damage. I noticed the different wheels on the passenger side so i wonder if the frame/axle/suspension is damaged also.

i saw that one too. isnt it about 10,000?. look at the front wheel. it is way in at the bottom. that means there is either some serious suspension damage, or some serious frame damage. believe it or not, you can hide frame damage pretty easily. it just takes some creative engineering!

ya i think they want 10900 or something like that for it. I see what you are saying by the wheel looking like it is in at the bottom, but i think it may have something to do with the angle of the pic that makes it kind of an optical illusion type of thing, but maybe not. The back wheel looks like it is in @ the bottom too thats what makes me think it maybe the way the pic was taken. I just looked at the pic of the mach 1's good side and it also looks like the wheel is in. I think it may be an optical illusion but maybe not:scratch: I have seen some crazy things before working on houses and what not. One time if you looked @ the driveway you would have swore that the concrete was way off, but then you would lay a level(i even tried more than one to make sure lol) it was perfectly level:scratch:. 4 or 5 guys thought it was off but showed them that it was level and they couldnt believe it. The white cobra is in des moines which is a little further than i want to drive. I dont think it is that good of a deal anyways. Well if ya see any deals give me a hollar. Thanks for the help so far. :nice:

Well its pretty broad really. I have been thinking anything 99 or newer gt, 94-95 gt. Also any year cobra, mach 1, bullitt etc. Basically an newer style mustang except for the 96-98 gt's. I want v8 w/ manual (of course). Also hard top. Dont think a vert is the way to go up here lol. I want to stay under 15k but would like around 10k. Its a pretty broad range and i dont have my heart set on anything yet really. Just waiting for the one that will make me say holly **** i got to have it (and i can actually afford it lol)

EDIT: Do ya know of anyone that deals with repairables around that is completely honest and doesnt use those "tricks". (if there is even such a thing as one lol)

Well they said the 01 white cobra needs right headlight, front bumper, and both passenger side tires/wheels. If the wheels were damaged enough where they needed to be replaced i suppose this means frame/suspension damage. Anyone have any idea one how much minor frame damage would cost to repair? Just curious dont know much about how they charge/how long it takes. I suppose if it is suspension that just gives ya an excuse to make it better than stock...lol

Well i think i will be making a trip down to nebraska hopefully. Woodhouse has a 97 hunter green cobra.

I am not a big fan of green but i think it looks pretty damn good(not as good as dhg but close)! Looks like it was babied. I dont know much about the 96-98 cobras so i am going to do some research before heading down there. It would be nice if i could find a ride down there tomorrow.
