Ding ding ding, we have a winner! The dude with the Cobra just wasnt getting back to me, and I had the same thought pop into my head. I sold the fox already, and Im going to pick up a 2011 GT tomorrow. Its black on black leather, with a manual and the shaker stereo. I will have a lower interest rate since the car is still considered "new," and I have always really liked the interior in the '05+ cars as well. Sure it isnt 616 rwhp, but Im sure it gets around fine. I'll post pics Sunday when I get home, unless its really dirty and then you have to wait until its washed.

On a side note, I had pulled all my interior plastics back in September to paint them, and my mother-in-law ended up passing unexpectedly due to cancer. That put the fox projects on hold, and I just went out to put the car back together before it moves on tomorrow. I hadnt noticed it when I took the plastics out, but my fox was like swiss cheese. There were so many screw holes from someone rigging the plastics, mounting speakers, amps and such... To be honest, Im glad Im moving on to a new car, because I just dont have the time and energy to restore a fox to prestine condition. It will be nice to get in and go enjoy the car.

Later in life, after my second kid (unborn at the moment) is about middle school age, I will go buy another fox and stuff a 408 in it, and make it a bad ass car. I just dont have the time with my son being two, my wife being needy, and also wanting to get pregnant with our second this summer. As for the money invested in this car, banks dont just give you a $27K loan to blow on an old car. If I had this $27K laying around, then maybe the fox would have stuck around. I sold my sportbike also, so this payment is the same as I was already paying between my bike and current dd (which is being traded). S&B, my insurance is going up $31 every six months, over what I paid for my current dd, and liability on the fox. Thats one less Hardee's thick burger a month for me.

Good Choice.

As much as the '03-'04 Cobra's are leaps and bounds better than their Fox predecessors, the '11-up GT's are light years ahead of them both. Understand though....you're not going to get that raw, mucle car feeling from the new GT that you did your Fox....but you are going to get a much, much, much better and better performing car than both all the way accross the board.

Meh, everyone has their own preferences. I'd still go Cobra. There's one for sale local for $14,500. CAI and full exhaust. If I had the means, I would do it in a heartbeat.

Nice. I rented a GT a few weeks ago and it can certainly "get around" alright. lol Those mf'ers scream. I always figured the '03 Cobra would be my next Mustang until the '11 GT came along. Congrats.

As promised, here are some pics I snapped last night after getting the bugs washed off her. I dont own a tripod, so you will notice I cant hold the camera perfectly still for that super clear non flash night picture...

Saved my favorite pic for last. (should have turned off the info screen, but oh well)

The car is amazing. Its takes everything I ever wanted to do to a fox and puts it together. My only interior change would be to put the speedo on the right, since I lean on the center console while I drive. The power is awesome down low, AND up high. I love the ride of a tight, stock suspension car. Its not a muscle car by any means, but still not a BMW either. For me, its perfect. Im not looking back.

Not crazy fast, cause its a big car, but its the fastest car Ive owned to date. It just pulls and pulls and doesnt let up. You get up to 120, and it seems to pull just as hard as 0-60 felt. And the power is so smooth. The front end jumps with each gear change, first through forth. Im sure to those like you with turbo/blown cars its nothing special, but to me its like winning the lottery. I have a lot of fun in it to say the least. I plan on a CAI with tune, tinted windows, and some electric exhaust cut outs behind the cats. It will be fun to open it up and make some noise, but then shut it up and jam out to the stereo too. Stock exhaust was nice on the 5 hour drive home with my son in the back watching little einsteins, and the music faded up front for me and the sleeping wifey.

See, that right there is why I can't understand people when they say "I don't want a high RPM motor, torque down low, blah blah blah." As soon as you drive a high RPM car, you realize that you've been missing out your whole life, haha. Hearing/feeling a V8 screaming above 6500 RPM is spooge-tastic.

I like how the clutch pedal is waaaaay left of the brakes. Amd probably doesn't take both legs to press. I still hit the brakes shifting sometimes

As much as I like them (buddy has one that I have driven) I wouldn't get rid of the fox for it. Just me tho. Also my buddies is already having trouble with 2nd gear with about 10k on the odo.

Even with stock exhaust I love that screaming. Im pretty young, and all my pushrod 5.0's have been near stock, so this is a new ball game for me though. Again, guys that have built cars wont praise the thing nearly as much as I do. For me, its just the ticket, until the factory warranty runs out anyway...

Lars, I plan to keep the suspension stock for a while anyway. It rides nice, and it actually plants the tires pretty well. I like that front end lift too, cause my stiff lowered stangs from the past have never had it.

Im still a fox guy in my heart, so I'll be lurking and popping into convos like a red headed step-child now and then. I was just ready to have something nice and fast, that I didnt have to spend all my time restoring to this condition.

Yeah same here. My Cobra had a little lift. My 91 doesn't lift at all (and it's supposed to be making 400hp ).

Hey 95, are those rims 19" or 18"?
