I tried to do a search on this question, but I couldn't find anything really. I was wondering what kind of gas mileage you guys are getting (in your mustangs, not alternative vehicles)? What are some good mods to do, to improve gas mileage (I want to get to that magical 40 Miles Per Gallon )?

Apparently underdrive pullies help with gas mileage, as well as a CAI but I haven't really noticed a major improvement with the pullies. Maybe a mile or two more you can travel.

well, while my 95GT was stock, whether I was racing, or driving it like a grandma on the freeway, I would get just about exactly 16.8MPG, every time! since then, I've done a CAI, and Pulleys, they kidna helped w/ the freeway miles, bumped it up to 19 on a trip down to Aberdeen... but the biggest gain on MPG was my O/R H!! I now get a consistant 18-20 mix of city/HWY... I was amazed! just free up the flow of air, and your engine itself...

I've got the swirly thingy in my CAI, the magnet on my fuel line, the platinum injection on my throttle body, synthetic oil, pullies and keep my tire pressure at 60 psi. I was shooting for 55-60 mpg, but I still get 15 around town and low twenties on the highway.

Hey, I had fix a flat in my tire on Friday, that stuff is cool!!! My gas mileage didn't go up.....
Alright, well I think I will start with a nice set of underdrive pulleys or the exhaust to start my journey on getting good gas mileage (well decent). When I had my lightning, that thing got about 11 miles to the gallon. I drove down to Astoria and it seemed to get better then 11 miles to the gallon on that trip. After that, I could not get it to do that again......

20-21 mpg with mostly highway driving, but I burned almost a quarter tank after three wide open passes.

I strongly recommend a Kenne Bell with 60# injectors and the BAP set to 80 PSI.
