Mini starter

Hey guys what would you recommend for a good mini starter? Also what could i use to wrap it to keep the heat off of it?

I bought a mini starter for a 1993 cobra at a local parts store and it has worked fine so far. I replaced my old starter because it was so close to the long tube headers that it would constantly get heat soaked in the summertime. I didn't wrap mine because I already had header wrap on the lower section of the header next to the starter.

the starter off of 92 and 93 5.0's have the mini starter factory. get one of those and you'll be set. you will also have to run a 16awg or so wire down to the starter solenoid that is on the starter.

My stock 93 starter died, I bought a PA performance high torque mini starter from 50resto for 130 bucks. I didnt wrap it or anything, works just fine hasent given me problems, and sounds alot better when you start it up, more of a whine and starts right up fast, instead of that dead rolling over sound.
