Misfire Code

I just pluged in an auto tap to the OBD plug and I pulled a dtc P0300 (random/multliple misfire) any one know what could cause this?

By the way, my cars a 2004 GT 5 speed

have you done anything to the car ? , or had anything under the hood modified or is it all stock ??, if so take it to the dealer , could be bad plug , coil pack etc ..........

it should be covered under warranty since it's an 04

When my car was almost new i had a misfire in cylinder 1..not exacly like you but.

i went to the dealer and they change the coil and plug on cylinder one, no question ask, even if my engine light was off by the time i went to the dealer.

never seen it since.

Like i said on corral. your car is new take it back to the dealer let them fix it

Well it's not all stock, I have an NX nitrous setup, cai, Mac Prochamber and flowmasters. So I don't wanan take it in if I don't have to. I'm thinking it's because I have the plugs gapped for spray. It only does it at idle (I think)

I haven't thrown a light. I only noticed from the auto tap.

If it only did it once I wouldn't worry about it. Mine has done that before on start-up. Haven't seen it since. Your plug gap could cause it or a bad plug if it continues. If no light my bet is it wasn't bad enough to be a problem.
