Misfire/Detonation High RPM

I am getting some type of misfire/detonation at high RPM, above 4k, under WOT...is it because of my fuel system? From the looks of it my fuel filter hasn't been changed in a while...

Also should I car idle when I unplug my IAC? I start my car and then unplug it and it dies...?

I am ordering a new fuel filter tonight so hopefulluy that will fix it.

Many cars will die if the IAC isn't working correctly. If your idle with the IAC working is OK, leave it alone. If not, See "Surging Idle Checklist for help with all your idle problems. The first two posts contain all the updates to the fixes. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions.

If the fuel filter does not fix it try a new coil my accel coil went bad after we had welded the sub frames without taking off a battery cable. The car acted exactly how you described yours
