I have two codes that say that I have a:

-P0316
Misfire Detected 1st at 1000RPMs

-P0303
Misifire Detected in cylinder 3

What does this mean?

Spark plugs are relatively new (only like 15-20000 miles), timing is at 10 degrees, I have not opened the hood in like 1 month and I have not floored it for about 2 weeks.

What do you guys hink?

I was having some rough idling just before the SES came up, plus right now the car idles a little better BUT you still feel there is something wrong with it.

Any help will be greatly appreciatted.

TIA

I think its the third one back on the passenger side if you are looking from the front of the car. Cause I had a misfire in that one too, mine was bad spark plug wires.

I dunno...I knew that mine were bad because the little metal clip on the inside of that plug wire was broken and it wouldnt stay on the plug. Thats the only reason I knew mine worked, they were only like $50 something to replace the whole set.

Switch the coil pack with a differnt one and see if the code changes.

p.s. Myearshurt you have differnt iginiton system them he does .. he has coil packs not just plug wires

Im gonna check tonight for a different coil pack. I just hope is not it, mofokers are like $100 and change. Plus the thread on that plug is gone (ask stupid ****s at Ford, they foked it up), so I gotta buy a thread saver everytime I replace the plug, It sux nuts.

if they ****ed it up they should replace your head ...that could be the cause if the plus isnt threading in or staying in place properly ... try the coil pack first

Well guess what, fokin plug was as loose as a 30yr old whore beaver. Funny thing is that the thread thingy from Helicoil was not attached to the plug. Im trying right now to get it out ( I just dont like it in there doing nothing).

In fact when I tried to tighten the spark plug back in, it did get tight, but Im scared that it will pop out again.

Is there anything I can try to make it permanent other than the helicoil?
