I have seen several complaints about Mishimoto aluminum radiators leaking, but not much on the warranty process.

I just bought a radiator from Mishimoto in April and, after only two months, it has developed a small leak on the driver side, where the fins and the support come together.

Mishimoto says they have a "no questions asked" warranty policy but they want to charge me $10 to ship me a replacement and said that they "rarely" ask you to return the old radiator.

What is bothering me is that, if you read their credit card authorization form, it says that you "may" need to return the old radiator at your own expense. If you don't, the authorization form gives them permission to charge you for a new radiator.

I am wondering if anyone on here was asked to returned the old one? If so, how much did it cost you? I'm just worried it's not even worth it at this point as the shipping costs could get ridiculous.

Please let me know if you have have dealt with Mishimoto on warranty issues and how they were handled. Thanks!

Hey man, I'm sorry! The radiator looks really cool and I have seen a lot of people on here who were happy with the radiators.

Even though the guys at Mishimoto sound really nice, the fine print on this credit card authorization basically give them permission to charge an unspecified amount, if they want to and has me spooked.

Anyone out there gone through the warranty replacement process?

Look in in the thread on these radiators in the 94/95 talk specific section. Quite a few guys have them over there, some w/ no problems at all, some that have had to replace them.
