i know ive been posting alot of threads, sorry guys this is just killin me..

I replaced the heater core about a month ago, and right after that my car started acting like a total pile of shyte. it felt like a bad miss so i replaced my plugs and wires , 6 of my plugs were tottaly black. then today i went and got a new MAF housing and a new sensor from ford thinking that i must of screwed it up when i ported it... still nothing, it actually made it worse, it backfires now...

I have the Xcal2 so i flashed it back to stock tune and it comes up with a p1000 code which means that the computer needs to calibrate all the sensors, but i wont want to drive the car like this because it dies randomly...

any help would be awesome guys, my brain is fried

Fuel pressure is at 32psi at idle
brand new ford motorcraft wires and plugs.......

Are the cop boots nice and clean? no cracks?

Did you fix the problem that was causing the plugs to become black? Maybe the plugs are just really dirty and it's missing. What plugs are you using, and what are they gapped at?

Also check the fuel filter.

I dont have COPS, i have 2 coil packs, and i changed them with 2 extra packs that i had laying around that worked when i took em off...

plugs are AWSF-32P motorcraft gapped at .055

Fuel filter is 2 months old

i dont know what is caused the plugs to become so black, i took a plug out 2 months ago when i did my filter and it looked good... i had bosch platnums

after i changed the plugs last night it still does the miss...

I had the same problem with super bad misfiring and sometimes losing power while driving down the road, and at times not being able to start the car for extended periods of time.

Ford sloshed radiator coolent around my engine and it got in the spark plug cavities...That's what caused the misfiring.

Recently had some more misfiring...I saw radiator coolant sitting on top of my engine...the intake gasket had sprung a leak.

Is it possible you got some moisture around your plugs while changing out your heater core?

For my power issue I had the battery cable replaced...but I still don't trust it (and was six years ago).

Could be messed up plug wires if you did something with them recently...I had similar problems as this when I did my manifold swap, I exhausted everything I could possibly think of, and it ended up being #7 and #8 plug wires mixed up..took about 5 days to figure this stupid little mishap out.

right now i'm gapping my plugs to .045 to see if that will help because i have high compression...

tysaystang- actually i did have some water in the plug holes, this is what ifirst thought the misfire was, but when i changed my plugs and wires last ngiht i dried everything out really good..

dusstbuster- i did the same exact thing when i first did my PI swap, all the wires are in the right spots now...

Tommustang- if the smaller plug gap doesnt fix it i'm going to do that tomorrow after work..
