In the article they state that the intake is installed with the stock 70mm TB. My question is this TB inferior to other 70mm TB like Accufab/BBK ...? They are the same size.

I am just trying to justify spending more money if not needed.

I think the stock TBs start out as 70mm but taper down to 60 something.

If your talking about the C&L plenum test, they tested with the stock 65mm TB and a Ford Racing 70mm TB.

IT comes down to one thing. is the tb truly as advertised. I have read that the ford 70mm has a taper to it. basically is the manufacture being truthful. I think they should all publish flow #'s.

so in this cas the ford tb may no be a "true" 70mm. I would like to see flow #'s on all the tb's. do the cheaper ones like mac and FRPP flow just as good as accufab or bbk?

Just get the accufab 75mm TB and the C&L plenum. For $400 the HP/$ is more than just a catback for the same money.

Does anyone have concrete #'s on the accufab 75mm tb with the c&l plenum? Are those #'s better than the accufab tb/plenum combo? anyone know the exact deal with these combos or are we all just pulling #'s out of the air?

if i remember correctly, there were some model years that came with a 70mm stock. i believe it was 02+.

the Ford 70mm t-body is the same as the 65mm except they bored out an extra 5mm right where the blade is.

No, they said they tested with the stock 70mm TB and then added the 75mm and it gained like 2 hp.
