mmr intake on 07 GT350

Hey guys I'm new to the mustang world with a 07 GT350 4.6 with a mmr cold air intake already installed when I purchased. Now engine light keeps coming on with lean codes showing up. Was this not tuned when installed?

There isn't really any way that we could know that. There was no such car as the GT350 from Ford or Shelby in '07, so either a dealer installed the parts or a previous owner. If it is running lean you should either take off the intake or get a dyno tune to fix the problem. MMR does not have a very good reputation in any of the forums I have read.

Actually there was a 2007 GT350. I think it was similar to the Shelby GT package or the GT350-H (Hertz). Don't really know exactly.

I would be concerned that the car came modifed but didn't come with a tuner. Most CAIs require a tune or they will throw codes. My suggestion: buy a tuner and a custom tune for the car and it's mods.

A few CAI's don't require tunes, AFE for one. Call MMR and see if it requires a tune. Also, look into possible vaccuum leaks and other reasons it could be throwing a lean code.
