Back in my poor, broke, desperate 5.0 days (i.e. 1997) i had some Cherry Bomb glass packs put on my 86 GT...

They didn't sound bad at all but they were 18" each. Never rivaled the sound of Flowmaster IMO.

Awesome man, if you like loud youll love them, They do have tone, an amazing one at that, just sounds like the classic 5.0 on steriods. Goodluck tell us how you like them.

Get some sounds clips, I wanna hear them with the xpipe.

And for decibel levels, they are very loud, advertised to be about 2-4db quieter then straight pipes, idle isnt much louder then flowmasters, but 2k and up is LOUD, and when you hit it you cant even describe it. Surprisngly highway cruising isnt bad. Honestly better then flowmasters, i took an hour drive on the highway the other day, with my 3.73 gears, put me cruising at about 2700 at around 80mph, and my ears didnt hurt at all, I was fine.

Heres a clip of mine.

Those mufflers sound badass on a race car...

On a street car with a mild engine, they dont sound good at all (in my eyes). Some love the sound, some hate it. I personally wouldnt run them.

Post sound clips though, The X-pipe (I have heard them on an FS car that had an X) might make them sound better.

Exactly, on my car, they get really deep at around 1700 rpms, setting off car alarms deep tone, above 2800 rpms they get very loud and awesome tone to them. Much better than flows and theres nothing inside holding back the exhaust so no flow restrictions. I love them.

louder than the 40 series flows above 2500 rpms, idle-2500 rpms is about the same if not a little quieter.

BUT... if you think your flows are loud (laughing to myself) dont get these. I like my electric cutouts for loud, and that is DAMN loud.

Yeah, which means no backpressure, which means no torque.

Where did you get the idea that back pressure = torque?

I'll give you that an over sized exhaust system is not conducive to proper exhaust scavenging but the idea that creating back pressure on an N/A motor creates torque is backward.
