Got mine this week and noticed when it is wide open the 2 screws stick out in bore app 1/9 to 3/16 of a inch. You would think they would use a shorter screw or modify it to shorten the screws. Anyone else noticed the same?

i might take a small file and shorten the screws up by and or use a dremel wit light pressure so not to damage anything.

Do not mess with those screws. There are no commercially made screws shorter than those and it does not effect airflow significantly. Only 4 CFM difference grinding them off. Not worth the effort.
