Ok so my car came with a MAC catback on it. I absolutly hate it. First I've been saving up for a Magnaflow V6 catback. Best price I can find =$460. So I'm sitting here looking at Flowmaster 40 seriers mufflers and magnaflow mufflers. They run $50-$80 each. So suddenly I have a magical thought pop into my head. Is it possible to just cut out the MAC mufflers on the catback and replace them with a different style muffler? Will this give me a better sound I'm looking for? I also want Magnaflow rolled tips, which I'm pretty sure don't come on the V6 catback.
So $460 + $65 (how much I paid for my flowmaster on last car to be put on) = approx $525
Or $140 for tips + $130 for mufflers + approx $100 for install = approx $370
Is it possible? Is it worth saving $150 over? WHAT GIVES???
