first mod for you should be hooked on phonics.

next mod should be lowering springs, and then a cat-back exhaust system. after that, get some 4.10 gears.

gears are gonna be your best bet. a cat back and new mid pipe will also help you out quite a bit. the new intake elbow is also good for some hp. just depends on what your goal is and how much you can spend.

The 4.10 gears will cost you $135, plus around $400 for installation. You will definitely wake up your 4.6 with these. X-pipes run from $150-500 depending upon the company and whether they are o/r or catted. They are good for around 8-10 rwhp. The catback exhaust will improve the sound of your stang but will add little to the power.

Mustang tuning is where I would look for some gears. Do some research and figure out if you would like the 3.73, 3.90, or 4.10's. Gears on mustang tuning go for around $130 and i believe free shipping. I would then get some mufflers and make that car sound like a mustang. Flowmaster or magnaflow should work.
if you have any money left over you can mail it to me, if not go with a intake, pullies, and a off road h or x

Get 4.10 gears ( $139 gefracing.com) then get a off road H pipe by mac $120 and some original 40 series flowmaster mufflers ($60 each) . Your car will sound like a 60's muscle car! H pipes are louder and sound mean as hell. X pipes flow better but not enough to make that much difference. X pipes sound raspy too. That will get you started. Good luck.

ok, to my understanding, stock the stang comes equipped with a true dual exhaust in an H form. so basically the "off-road H pipe" is pretty much just replacing the stock H with a less restricitve one, correct? and this coupled with a less restricitve exhaust produces more gains in hp and torque while adding "the sound"? well then can u all answer me this: i read a while ago that some H's particularly the MAC cut down on low end torque but helped out in top end. is this true?
