Do Cobras respond better to mods than GT's? I traded a 00 GT with a Bassani X and glasspacks, it was a pretty quick car.
I was wondering if an X pipe for my 01 Cobra would make it quicker.
Also, how about pulleys and a TA, do they do more for a Cobra than a GT?
Well cobras are DOHC so a higer flowing exhaust will definantly benefit it more than the SOHC GT. You have more air being able to go in and out of the cobra so increasing the flow out the back end should make good gains for you. If I were you I would get some 3.73 gears on that thing after the exhaust. Gears really wake Mustangs up.
I'd atleast suggest 3:90's if you do alot of highway driving, if not 4:10 and up. basically most mods done an a 2 valve that say get 5 hp, expect 7-8 or maybe more. read through some posts, you'll see the differences.
