Getting wimpy on the issue of dealing with cold temps, already, and I'm trying to figure what'd be the best course of action for me to take, as far as heating my notch. I'm reeeeeeally not inclined to tackle the heater core replacement for a variety of reasons, mainly: 1. I had to delete my heater pipe (it was rotted and leaking), 2. I don't wanna deal with ripping the dash out multiple times if a new heater core fails, and 3. I only need it for a couple of months outta the year, anyway.

Just got a flier from Jeg's today featuring this groovy little Mojave Heater Assembly thingymadoohickey, for about $150. Looks simple and compact, and claims to put out 12,000 btu's, which sounds pretty decent. I'm assuming these things are made primarily for Jeeps, but I can probably rig it up in the 'Stang without much complication, and I've got enough electrical system output to support it (already done the 3G).

Thus, my main questions are:
1. Anyone used one of these Mojave brand heaters before?
2. How does 12,000 btu's compare to the stock heater? (I have no idea what they're rated at, if they even have such a rating listed anywhere for 'em.)
3. Does the Mojave heater stand up pretty nice in comparison to, say, those $200+ heaters on JC Whitney's website?
4. Where would be a good place to bolt this lil' sucker down? (I'm thinking of rigging up a little platform that would mount onto the driveline hump where the back seat used to be, and just having it blow forward between the two front seats.)
