Well, that's 1978 for you .

I don't like the mesh grille at all. The idea is nice and it's not bad looking as a grille, but there was obviously no design thought put into it, as you can see all the factory header panel attachments behind it. What it really needs is a filler piece around the perimiter to cover that stuff.
