Moody modular

I have posted before about how my Mustangs have been moody in how they run. One minute it will be purring like a kitten with plenty of power and the next it seems like its a little off and lacking 20 HP.

Others noticed the same thing in their cars but I was wondering if anyone knew what caused it. It would be great if I could keep it running smooth 100% of the time.

For instance on the way to my girlfriends house tonight it was running great and I was loving it. But on the way home 2 hours later it was not up to par. Any ideas?

But its mood will change sometimes after sitting for only 30 minutes. I know weather affects it but something else is going on.

Plus we dont have that "humidity" thing out here.

probably heat soak then, I have been thinking of a radiator upgrade...

My car actually runs better when warmer if you can believe that.

Nope, everything is just fine. My 01 GT was the same way and others have told me their cars do the same. I think its a computer thing. Its probably running Windows.

yeah, I think when the car gets to a certain threshhold (heat?), the computer detunes itself. Sometimes you see a loss of power, one can see this when a car has run one too many dyno runs...
