Yeah, I pulled my stock motor out with the trans still attached by my self. I just had to jack the front up alot to allow the trans to swing low then lower the front to get the trans over the front support (could have gotten away with not doing this if I had another person over but they were late and I was in a hurry to get it out). I wanted to put it back in that way but I found a few issues with the clutch and decided to get that fixed.

took me along time to get the rear drive shaft bolts out BIG PITA

Filling the holes in under the hood is such a clean look. I would imagine that took some time, but that looks amazing as it is starting to come together!

Chains used to lift the engine.

Damn, the engine bay looks sick with that engine sitting in there.

I said most drive rice burners. You, mike, and james (has an 04 GT) are my only friends who dont drive imports.

Rog, I plan on going down one day and meeting up with some of the southern fl guys. Maybe one time when there is a FFW at Moroso and stay the weekend.

with the gas prices lately, using rice for fuel would probably cost less

I made a mistake when we put the motor in. When using stock motor mounts on the QA1 K-member the instructions state that the tabs must be grinded off. Take a guess as to when I realized this. Let this be a lesson to those that are planning to do this.

I am getting ready to install my Maximum Motorsports tubular K-member. Should I buy new motor mounts? What tabs are you talking about? On the K-member or on the mounts?

Stock motor mounts have them I believe for alignment purposes. Not sure which K-member your buying but read the instructions before doing anything.

actually, yes.....we covered the motor and resprayed some rough spots, put the plastic firewall piece and windshield wiper assembly on, bolted in the battery tray and fuse box, ground the nubs off the motor mounts, put the valve covers on, put the ABS assembly back together along with the master cylinder, and put the water pump in. the painting set us back a great deal because of waiting for it to dry. next saturday, the intake, radiator, and accessory brackets should be going in along with all the stuff attached to them.
