More turn signal woes...

Well I finally thought I had all my electrical gremlins fixed, but I guess whoever owned the car before really did a good job of butchering the wires. The latest problem on the '65 is that the front right turn signal won't flash. The parking lights work fine, as do the the rear and front left signals. I tried replacing the flasher, and didn't do any good. The weird thing is that although it doesn't flash, the green indicator light in the instrument panel flashes, but when I turn the left signal on, that green light doesn't flash, although the exterior lights flash normally. Is there a wire that controls the front right signal that may have been disconnected? Or is there another component that may need replacing? Thanks.

does the rear right flash?

the front and the rear are fed seperately from the signal switch, so it could be the switch, the wire from the switch to the light, the light socket , the light bulb or the ground at the light socket.

Get a test light and figure out where you are loosing it. If you need the wiring diagram give me your email and I'll send it right out.

the wire that runs the front right is WHITE/BLUE and it also runs the indicator, so if the indicator is flashing and the light isn't the switch is OK.

Well I figured it out shortly after I posted this. The bulb and everything was ok, as was the switch. I started tracing the wiring from the parking light back, and it was nothing but carnage. Whomever previously "wired" this car deserves to be shot. The connections were held together with electrical tape, sometimes not even that. So I broke out the soldering iron and basically had to redo every wire in the front of the engine bay. It was not fun.

But it all works now. :D
