i have just one huge cone type air filter on the end of my MAF. i have been told this is robbing me power in two ways: 1) im sucking up all the hot air from the motor bay (2) there is high turbulance in the air (from the stock cooling fan) and causes misreadings to the MAF.

i was told to get a fenderwell mounted airfilter, but i cant stand the cheasy look of the Chrome BBK kit. anyone have experience with the Moroso kit? is it worth it?

Stock box with K & N filter is suppose to be as good as any fenderwell plan.
When I bought my C & L 76mm mass air kit they told me after all thier tests the stock box was as good as anything. They also told me same info you got heard about cone filter in engine bay.

The quality of the Moroso seems to be pretty good, my only complaint is the Filter needs to be re tightened all the time. It does look better then the Chrome one though.

I had the Moroso unit on my old car and it worked and looked just great. Simple, basic install and lasted for years before I sold the car. I liked it a lot better than the chrome tubes...not as flashy, but definitely not hot to touch like the chrome.
