Hey guys I have a chance to pick up a rebuilt short block out of an 84 for cheap from a buddy. It has aftermarket forged pistons and a comp cam. Not sure what parts yet he is getting the numbers for me. I would be buying this to build on a stand and swap into my 87. My questions are what are the disadvantages to this motor compared to my 87 and what should I do? Oh, most likely I could pick it up for about 300 bucks.
