Motor craft starter wired same as mini starter?

Ok guys I’m trying to figure out my car. It cranks very weak and I’m trying to figure out why I have crank no start. So question, I bought a replacement starter for my 1992 gt. I bought the motorcraft from ford looks the same but instead of 3 nuts on the starter solonid I have 2 and 1 male speaker looking prong so does this mean I don’t hook starter up the original way. On this car the starter wire(factory) has a wire 2holes for the starter. I’m cranking hardly any cranking so does this mean I gotta move this wire over to the positive side and run a trigger wire from the male prong to the starter solenoid on the fender apron? Sorry no instructions came in the box and can’t call the tech line right now. I added pic of original starter the back part. Sorry I didn’t take a pic of the other back part. Also just bought new distributor,battery,alternator. Made junkyard power wire new coil .

It’s wired the same, only really one way to do it. Signal wire goes to small post, battery goes to big one.

If it still cranks lazy I’d take a look at your grounds.

Ok thanks for the response. I looked under dash and it seems there was a alarm system installed before remerntes still there. I also see this at the nss. Nothing connected just hanging. The connectors are just hanging there but they seem bypassed. I connected the test lamp to the 4 wires hanging nothing at least to ground. I didn’t test positive to those wires yet. I assumed sconce nothing koko to ground then maybe they cut them. Wondering where they go anyone might know?One of the red with blue stipe wires is cut off at the drivers fender anyone know where that goes? I’d like to add that I have gone through the crank no start and signing idel I have bought mostly everything new. I did do the ignition repair kit from lmr don’t remember if I touched these wires but I don’t think so just the replay that’s under the steering wheel. So I’m stumped. It sure if I shopkeepers touching wires but it does crank.

All that aftermarket wiring needs to be removed. Is your car automatic ? The red with blurle stripe wires are all starter solenoid ( fender ) signal wires. Seems like someone tan a different wire to the small post on the fender mounted solenoid.

If you make sure the car is in park ( or neutral ) and use a piece of wire to jump battery positive to the small post on the fender starter solenoid, it should cause the starter to crank. A bad fender solenoid can cause the starter to turn slow....so can a bad engine ground. I always run an extra ground cable from the water pump / power steering bracket mounting stud to the sway bar mounting bolt below the battery on the frame.

It’s Manuel trans. It does crank over when I take small wire off and add screwdriver from pos to that screw with key on it cranks.So those wires are aftermarket junk? Seems like alarm. Does it matter about the wires at connector ignition in the wrong spots?

Somehow that wire at the fender solenoid is ran to the ignition switch starter wire. If there is a bad connection it can weaken the trigger voltage and cause a slow crank, in theory.

Those old alarm connections cause issues in every car I've seen them in. Especially, when the alarm has been bypassed but not removed.

Not real clear on your question. The wiring at the ignition switch, inside the car, matters. The wiring at the fender solenoid, also, matter. Thos is the proper wiring for the starter in a 92. The aftermarket starter just has a male spade terminal instead of an eyelet like the factory.

This is the wiring for the actual ignition switch. They may have tapped into the white / pink stripe wire and ran it straight out to the fender solenoid. The 5 speed computer uses the red / blue stripe wire to control rpm when clutch is pressed and you're coasting. Also keeps the car from starting without the clutch pressed. They probably didn't know that they could've just stuck a fuse in that hanging connector and it would've started. There should also be a white or clear connector that looks like that black one. They both should be plugged in the clutch switch.
